He trained in traditional karate at a small dojo, determined to unlearn the Mishima style to distance himself from his lineage. įollowing his grandfather's betrayal, Jin traveled to Australia and lived under the radar in Brisbane. In a transformed state, Jin attacked the Tekken Force soldiers and then slammed Heihachi through a wall before taking flight on black wings. Despite the measures used, the attempt at killing Jin failed, as Jin's Devil Gene activated and revived him. Heihachi himself fired a final gunshot into Jin's head. He fought Ogre's true form in the final round and succeeded in killing it however, he was gunned down shortly after his victory by a squad of his grandfather's private military group, Tekken Force. By this time, Jin had developed into an impressive fighter, and entered the tournament with the intention of avenging the loss of his mother. įour years after Jin's training began, Heihachi called the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. He also met Hwoarang during a street fight in which they fought to a draw, leading to a persistent rivalry. During this time, Jin attended the Mishima Polytechnical School and met Ling Xiaoyu there. Jin followed his mother's wishes and found Heihachi Mishima, who went on to train him in Mishima-style Karate. In Jun's absence, Devil seized its chance to possess Jin, and branded his left arm. Jin was knocked unconscious, and woke up to find his surroundings burned to the ground and his mother gone. Jun's premonitions soon proved to be correct, and she and Jin were attacked by Ogre. Preparing for the worst, she informed Jin of his origins and told him that, if anything should happen to her, he was to seek out his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima. When Jin was fifteen years old, Jun sensed the approach of a great evil. Jun raised Jin in a remote location in the mountains of Yakushima, and trained him in the Kazama family's self-defense fighting style. Jun managed to fight Devil off and hold it at bay throughout her pregnancy and Jin's childhood. During Jun's pregnancy, part of Kazuya's Devil, (which fled Kazuya when he was thrown into a volcano by his father) attempted to possess Jin, who inherited his father's Devil Gene. Jin Kazama is the son of Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. 3.9 Tekken: the dark history of mishima.Jin is the son of Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama, the grandson of Heihachi Mishima and Kazumi Mishima, the nephew of Lee Chaolan, the half-nephew of Lars Alexandersson, a relative of Asuka Kazama, and the great-grandson of Jinpachi Mishima. He will return as the main protagonist in Tekken 8. ![]() The exception to this was when he took on a role as the main antagonist in Tekken 6 (with Lars Alexandersson taking his role as the protagonist), and also when he took on the role of supporting character in Tekken 7 (where Heihachi Mishima and Kazuya Mishima became the main characters of the game). He has been the main protagonist for the majority of the following entries ever since his debut in Tekken 3, and his main motivation has been trying to end the Mishima Bloodline to save the world from their evil. He is featured on the packaging for the console version of almost every sequel following his introduction in Tekken 3. TEKKEN 2 MOVIE JUN KAZAMA SERIESThe Tekken: Bloodline trailer suggests that the series will, at least initially, keep its focus to Jin's family though the end teases several classic Tekken characters outside of the family, including the jaguar-masked luchador King. Jin's dark side is also strongly hinted at in the trailer, with the young man lashing out at bullies that attempt to beat him up, with Jin brutally dispatching them after his rage grows uncontrollably. The teaser trailer provides glimpses of the supernatural side to the Tekken Universe, complete with Jin displaying superpowers and him and Jun being menaced by the Ogre. The upcoming anime series Bloodline subtitle is a reference to Jin's sinister lineage and his own corrosive Devil Gene that allows him to tap into some truly hellish abilities. ![]()
